Gifted Students can present with very complex learning challenges and developmental issues that affect
their achievement. This presentation will provide an overview of the complex and unique profiles of
gifted students. The presenter will also discuss early indicators of a learning problem, what is meant by
“twice exceptional” and how we can better evaluate when a gifted student has a learning problem.
Suggestions and frameworks will be provided on how to support, accommodate and intervene with
these students.
